Things that last - Ting som varer lenge

Knitted facecloths/
Strikkekluter til badet

It has often annoyed me how things go to pieces so quickly. Always having to update something in the home because it breaks or becomes obsolete. Planned obsolesence, Buy buy buy!

An expensive quality (?) towel that frayed at the edges after only four years. A crochet edge lengthens it's life.

Heklekant forlenger livet litt.

I think a lot on my morning walks, enjoy the scenery and ponder this and that.

Jamjars can come in useful in so many ways.

A treat from Sweeden, limonade. Bottles to be filled with homemade blueberry drink this Autumn.

Flaskene gjenbukes til hjemmelaget blåbærsaft i høst.

Autumn tea for two.

God helg dere!

  2. Hi Pam, I hope you and your family are doing well?? I know it has been a while since I've visited your blog, but my family "wanted to see" me for a few weeks ;)!
I am often curious for the many practical solutions/possibilities you have for all sort of things in the house (hold) en for reusing them. I always love your pictures on your blog, there is so much quietness in them, thank you for sharing pictures of the beautiful region you live in.
    Take care. Warm hugs, Ilona

  6. Hi Pam,
I agree with you about planned obsolescence. It's not good, is it? As companies are trying to find cheaper and cheaper ways to manufacture, the quality is also becoming cheaper and poor. When I need to buy, I will buy the best quality I can afford because it is more economical in the long run but these products are becoming harder to find.
I love the 'recycle and re-use' theme of your post here - very relevant.
Thank you also for sharing pictures of your scenery. It is fascinating because it is so different to my own country.
    Wishing you well xx
