Autumn - Høst

SEPTEMBER

From 28 C to 5 C in a week!
Autumn has arrived!
A cold mist creeps  up out from the lake below.
Candles are lit
The wood burner
Full of warming flames.
Evening tea.
Peace.
My favourite season!

FAITH

Walking beneath the clouds
We can only see the grey
feel the rain.
But
God sees so much more
Have
Faith
there is light
Even if we can't see it

Charity shops and Celiac disease

RED - Danger! Crumbs with Gluten alert!
It is a long time since I knitted heaps of cotton dishcloths for the kitchen
- Old news -
But what does one do when 2/6 of us have Celiac disease?
Make RED cotton dishcloths for the other 4/6 of us of course!
Problem solved!
Colour codes for the kitchen.
A colour for each area.
So...
Where does the charity shop come into this?
The yarn - bowl thingy.
Charityshop find.
Always wanted one of those.
Thank you Salvation Army.
Chuffed 😊.

Slowly handmade

This litle project took me a year!
Wonder how many times I stabbed my finger with the needle...?

I love a splash of colour,
And texture
And handmade
Stuff

And a mini - Candy collection
Just to make it extra nice

And those polkadots...
- Love -
Them!

Love my little old sideboard too...
But that's a whole different story 😊

Blessings

Slow Crafting

SLOW CRAFTING

English-paper-piecing

Standing in a craft shop last week, I gazed around the shelves and realized how many cuick-fix craft projects that have become availiable over the past decades. New ideas, new products, quickly slapped together, here today, gone tomorrow. Food for thought.
(Fabric washed and ready for ironing, destined for English paper pieceing quilt-project.)
(Cutting templates for EPP out of old cardboard. Slow work.)

Reading online, I discovered that there actually is something called "Slow Crafting". I love the expression. It speaks to me of quality, love, time spent in thoughtful meditation, uniqueness...the list goes on. Something made today, and still here tomorrow.

(Last snowfall of the season)

There is a lot of talk about -slow- these days. Slow eating, slow travelling, slow living...slow crafting.
It's not about lazyness, but about using our time in the best possible way and really being present in what we do and where we are.
I'm off to cut some more templates for my VERY slow English-paper-pieced quilt-project. It's going to take years, but, hey, what's the hurry?!

Making dollhouse furniture/ hjemmelagde dukkehusmøbler

 Designing and making
A lounge in a vintage Lundby dollhouse
We have cut out the Tv
I find I have more time
For hobbies and reading.
A lot of time wasted in front of that Tv over the years. Don't miss it.
Vi har kuttet ut Tv kanalene. Så mye mer tid vi fikk. Lydbok og hobbypussel på kvelden. Savner ikke Tv. Fred i stua. Helt reklamefrie kvelder. Hater Tv - reklamene 😛!
