Changing Seasons - I`m lovin` it

Summer...yet a little while longer
Not the warmest or sunniest of Summers, but still
Summer

Sommer ...i noen uker til
ikke den varmeste sommeren, men likevel
sommer

We have ignored rain, wind and chilly days
and done our time at the beach
walking bare foot
and eating ice creams :)

Det finnes ikke dårlig vær bare dårlige klær
er mottoet denne sommeren
og ellers i året for den slags skyld.
Vi har badet og spist is og sprunget barføtt i gresset
uansett vær :)

Somehow knowing the seasons change so drasticly here north
makes every season sharper to the sences somehow...
The wild strawberries taste sweeter
because I know I won`t be able to eat them for a whole year
soon....

Fordi årstidene skifter så drastisk her nord
blir hver årstid mer levende for sansene på en måte...
Markjordbærene smaker så søtt...
fordi det vil gå et helt år før jeg får smake dem igjen

Though Autumn is my favourite time of year
I plan to enjoy the last few weeks of chilly wet Summer
and especially the few lovely sunny days
that are sure to come aswell...

Jeg elsker høsten
men akter å nyte sommerens siste uker
uansett vær
litt sol blir det sikkert
nesten garantert...

My Spring and Summer project is almost at it`s closure
15 more granny squares
some sewing and blocking
and it`s ready for the cold seasons
with a hot cup of tea, a good book and the candles lit.

Vår- og sommerprosjektet mitt har nådd avslutningsfasen
15 bestemorsruter til
endel sying og damping
og høstens (og vinterens) nye pledd er i boks.
Høsthygge med te, bok og tente lys.

Blessings Pam

  1. Your so right about how wonderful the summer fruits taste when you know you won't be able to taste it again fresh from the garden for a while. Yet I am ready for fall, a time of rest.

    1. I`m ready for fall too, best time of the year. I embrace the cold mornings, frost in the air and crunchy leaves...first snow in the air...a crackeling fire...lovely :)

  2. Your going to be blessed with some lovely berries....but I must admit I'm mad for your firewood pile.....super jealous of that going into winter someday soon.....we have rain right now and I built a nice fire yesterday, its been a little chilly.

    1. Has been a lot of rain here too and I must admit both hubby and I have been casting longing glanses at our wood pile. Love the Autumn and all the cosy things that come with it :)
