Ny vri på Julekurvene - Christmas tree baskets

In Norway we hang little paper baskets on the Christmas tree. "JULEKURVER". They can be filled with Sweets or bisquits. This year I thought I would make them a little differently and   brighten them up with florals and decorations.

More Tilda girls have come to life. Love planning each new personality.
House Angel "Néhani" above and "Seaside girl" below. These two have gone to new homes,
quite sad to see them go, my girls :)

Flere Bursdags- og Julekort

Birthday cards
and Christmas cards

Wishing you all a great weekend.
Cherish the small pleasures.

God 3. Adventshelg dere.

Bright pink Flamingoes - Knallrosa Flamingoer

I have been using up some of my stash lately.
How about pillow cases with bright pink Flamingoes and pink backing?!

My youngest son
used his own money
and bought me
a miniature bread set
and

Milk bottles!!
Bless him, so kind <3

Dollshouse.
Pillows and Duvets in various scales.
Using up pretty scraps for tiny projects.

Small scale Pumpkins and wheelbarrow.
In the dollhouse mode at the moment.

Although health has been very bad for months, Sunday I finally managed to get in a short forest hike. ATLAST! JIPPI! Absolute heaven. Feel so very grateful.

It was Fathers' day here in Norway on Sunday, so a cake for the boys was in order.

Jenny and I ate carrots instead.

As I blog on my phone, I can't make a link ( atleast I havn't managed it). Instead I will mention Droras minimundo and her great givaway here. You will find her lovely blog on my blogroll.

Hope your week will be a good one.

Rag-rugs and Halloween

Tadaaah!
My rag-rug is finished and ready to warm our feet this winter. Underneath there will be a circular anti-slip mat to avoid it sliding.

A birthday card for a friend ♡
(The lace is from my mother-in-laws old curtains!)

We don't celebrate Halloween much, but we do have an Autumn childrens' party
with cobwebs, spiders, pumpkins and cakes. Not forgetting a treasure hunt in the dark.
Always great fun.

But don't eat too many sweets...
it could make you sick ;)

(pumpkin made by my eldest son)

Rag-rug /heklet filleteppe

Heklet teppe av fargerike filler.

A colourful rag-rug project.
Norwegians are not fans of wall-to-wall carpets, but loose easy cleanable floor mats and rugs are snug in winter.

The days are drawing in here in Norway, soon the clocks go back to winter-time and soon we get up and arrive home in darkness.

It has been a stormy night, flower pots and rubbish bins tipping over and spilling their contents. A quiet sunny morning with clear blue skies. Contrasts indeed.

Wish anyone popping in
A great weekend.
God helg.

Høst ved havet - Autumn by the seaside

Many a storm has swept over these majestic fir trees.

Still waters on a beautiful sunny Autumn evening.

A splash of colour

Thrown up on land during the last storm

Another magical sunset this past week.

Indoors - for evenings drawing in.

Piece of a very old chest, rest not salvagable.

Deler av en gammel kiste. Plattform for dansende lys på mørke høstkvelder.

God helg
happy weekend

English paper-piecing and some minis. Hexagon sengeteppe og miniatyrer

Iam going to call ths hand-sewn quilt
the Summer quilt.
Ibegan it in early Summer and it is full of Summer colours.

Ethvert stort prosjekt må ha et navn her hos meg. Dette hexagonsengeteppet kaller jeg
The Summer Quilt
Sommer sengeteppet.
Coming along slowly but nicely.

A couple of minis.
A bottle of Mermaid Tears for a birthday girl.

A tiny snake for a tiny garden.

...and Melvin wishes everyone a great weekend!

Gamle sykler og bålmat - old bicycles and eating by an open fire

I like old bicycles. The knitted Jersey on the back is my Grandads. He had a bike much like this one, a men's bike.
Blå blå septemberhimmel og 17 varmegrader.
A beautiful Sunday with clear blue skies and 17 degrees Cesius. Very welcome after a week
of heavy rain and flooding. The Geraniums look asif they are blooming again.

Dinner last night: Fish'n Chips round the fire pit.
Autumn is turning out just fine.

Wishing everyone a lovely week ahead.

Mystery of the disappering pen... Mysteriet med forsvinningspennen

My hexie bedquilt, slowly evolving. Hm...only 700 more hexies to go ;)

I bought a textile pen last month. My sons were with me. "It is a disappearing pen." I explained. "It will disappear after a couple of days." They watched and listened to me with a puzzled frown. Then one said: "What on earth is the point in buying it, I mean, if it is going to disappear?!" :) :) :)

:) hi hi. Må visst ordlegge meg bedre ;)

Autumn is here. Rain has been thundering down for five days, flooded roads and broken bridges.

There are expensive things to be bought in hobby shops, but a bit of coffee in a saucer works pretty well too. I borrow my sons old type writer and put down a few chosen words. Cut them out and pop in cold coffee.

Dry. Tørk.

Ulike resultater alt etter papirvalg og tid. Til f.eks pakkelapper, kort eller scrapbooking.

As you can see, the result varies as to paper quality/thickness and time.
For cards, scrapbooking, parcel tags etc.

Freedom - Frihet

Flags made Spring of 1945 to celebrate the Norwegian liberation after five years of German occupation during WWII.
They were found in the store room of a long closed country store.
How easily we take our freedom for granted, yet, how wonderful it truly is.
This year, I am going to hang the flags on my tree (a tradition which began after WWII), so I remember to value my freedom and remember all those less fortunate.

Moments from last week - Øyeblikk sist uke

L

Jenny enjoying the last raspberries

Tried my hand at small paper daisies

The garden shed is complete, now for the garden.

KAJSA - our sweet little lady

Autumn colours not yet visible, but there are small signs.

A slight feeling of Autumn blues this year. Looks asif the Barn Swallows have flewn south, days are drawing in and temperatures are dropping. My three boys are still swimming in the lake, though I doubt it can be more than 14 degees C. Brr, too cold for me!
This Summer we invested in an outside fire - pit. For warmth and outdoor cooking throughout the year. That will provide comfort on grey Autumn days.

Strange to think that the other side of the world, Spring is knocking at the door! A remarkable World we live in isn't it!
