Well, I made a little shelf for 

Everafter House!

Floral paper inside, and thicker cardboard on the outside. The design resembles old painted planks. Quite Shabby Chic ;)

"Glass" shelves, made from the plastic box of the Everafter doll. 

Now Heather has her very own shelf for bits and bobs. Still has a lovely tea-smell to it too ;-).

Late night photo shoot - fiddling around in the dollhouse

An orange and a little Tv before bedtime? (Tv = husbands old GPS)

A little lady has moved into my big dollhouse. She says her name is Heather Everafter. Here she is all tucked up in her nighty (vintage Sindy nightdress - belonging to the vintage Sindy I can't find. Have bought her new hair...so if anyone sees a bald Sindy running around, please let me know ;) ).

Things are still a bit of a mess, as they often are in a moving process, but finally it's bedtime. Timmy and Charles can't seem to agree about who gets to sleep on the bed, but Heather doesn't notice...zzzzz

An annoying period of doll making attempts has come to an end for the time being. I just cannot seem to get the expressions right. Seem to have lost my touch. Therefore, I have chosen Everafter dolls. They are smaller than a Barbie and fit the house perfectly. Everafter is a nice thought too I think. "Everafter House". Wouldn't it be nice, a house where one could live happily Everafter ;-)

Vakkert håndarbeid på gjenbruksbutikken - Needlework from the Charity store

A local Charity store was selling everything 50% off last week. Popped in for a peep at the cloths and found some pretty little treasures.

The sewn picture above will be made into a pillow cover for the kitchen. Translation is:

"Happy thoughts and kind words

spread happiness in our world"

About 50 p. A real bargain here.

Salg på ombruken resulterte i en liten tur innom sist uke. Vakker håndbrodert veggbilde over, skal bli til pute i slagbenken. Fem kroner :) 

Denne vakre bordløperen falt jeg pladask for. Nydelig håndarbeid både foran og i finishen bak. Små områder med slitasje som man har lappet med kjærlig hånd. Ti kroner!

Fell completely in love with this pretty table runner. Such neat work and the finish at the back is quite amazing. It must have been used a lot because it has small areas where a loving hand has darned carefully. About a pound, very cheap in Norway.

Vakkert og praktisk, akkurat slik jeg foretrekker.

Pretty and practical, just the way l like it. The grinder is still used to grind coffee beans. Smells soo great!

I do so love things with a history, things that have been around a while and served a purpose and not simply a trend.

Er så glad i gamle bruksting, ting som har levd et liv og hatt en oppgave i en husholdning, og ikke bare eksistert som ledd i en kortlivet trend.

Tomtebiler - Tomte cars

Noen som husker Tomtebilene? Favoritten var den blå lastebilen med lasteplan. Veldig lik den i mor mor og de 8 ungene (originalversjonen, med skjønne Anne Cath Vestly som mor mor).

Koftestrikk og Fastelaven

Bolen på Fanakofta nærmer seg ferdig. Det tar tid, musklene i nakke og skulder må ha lange pauser, men blir da ferdig tilslutt :). Strikker i 60% Alpakka fra Sparkjøp.

The Fanakofte - Fana Jacket for my husband is coming along nicely. Knitted in 60% Alpaca. Gorgeously soft to the touch.

Årets Fastelavensboller. GLUTENFRIE såklart. Deilg luftige og lette og med skikkelig bollesmak og bollelukt. Øvelse gjør mester. Inni er det masse hjemmelaget jordbærsyltetøy.

Fastelavens' buns with whipped cream and homemade strawberry jam. Glutenfree of course. So light and fluffy and real bun taste and smell, yum!

Dollhouse - Dukkehus

Just wanted to share a few treasures with you. Found this tiny porcelain bathroom set all alone on a shelf in a hobby shop. Couldn't leave it behind now could I?!

Needs a house to go in don't you think?!

Jeg er så fasinert av miniatyrer. Dette lille baderomssettet i porselen måtte jeg bare ha. Det burde absolutt få et lite hus å bo i eller hur?!

Den lille tangen virker! Tenk så smått! Lurer på hvem sin verktøykasse dette er? Kan ikke være store karen (eller damen ;) )

Wonder who this belongs to? Where has he gone? Fancy leaving your tools all over the place like that! Lucky l was here to put them all back in their tool box!

Lovely Simple things - Enkle, trygge, gode ting

Årevis med restegarn har blitt til et bestemorsteppe i glade farger som lyser opp i vintermørket.

My leftover wool has been turned into a bright and cheerful granny blanket. Love using up scraps.

Loving the smell of fresh homemade bread for my boys.

Pretty ice sculptures along the stream where l walk my dog.

Creativity and blue Winter skies

Beautiful Sunny days with glittering snow and clear blue skies. I even heard a bird singing! And the light...the light is returning!

Chilly evenings with temperatures dropping down to - 18 Celsius, the perfect scenario for piping hot tea and card making. Easter cards more often than not.

The woods are full of animal tracks
